Magazine Beach

Magazine Beach

We stayed at Magazine Beach during a family vacation in Grenada. My husband, kids, and I decided to take a day trip out of our resort near Grand Anse Beach and try Magazine Beach. It’s only about 10 minutes outside of town so it’s easy to get there by taxi or rental car.

“Magazine beach is a beautiful, fun beach that’s relatively uncrowded. It’s perfect for families with children who aren’t interested in snorkeling or other water sports. Our kids enjoyed playing in the sand and building sandcastles. We didn’t have any problems with getting an umbrella and chairs, but if you’re staying at one of the nearby resorts it might be better to just call ahead of time to reserve them. The food was delicious; we had pizza, burgers, chicken wings, french fries, and mojito cocktails!”

Coral reefs are a type of marine animal that live in colonies and are found in the shallow waters of the Caribbean Sea. They’re important for the ecosystem because they provide shelter for many other species, such as sea turtles and fish, which eat coral polyps (the tiny creatures that make up each colony). Coral bleaching occurs when coral gets too warm and expels its algae, causing it to lose its color and die off.

This is nice for walking up and down the beach, but don’t wear flip flops; wear shoes instead. Also, make sure that whatever shoes you do choose don’t hurt your feet! Don’t walk on rocks in the water; this will cause damage to them as well as any other parts of your body that come into contact with them (like toes).
