Seeb beach is a beautiful beach in a town close to Muscat. The water was clean and the sand was fine. We went there for a swim and saw a woman jumping into the water from a high wall. This beach had some loungers and parasols, as well as showers for use by visitors. Sometimes the sea is green but other times it can be brown or greenish yellow.
Running along the beach were palm trees which provided shade for those wanting shade from the sun but also gave some privacy if you wanted to change in privacy behind one of them – this also kept prying eyes away from seeing what you were wearing under your bikini or swimming costume!
Review of Seeb beach
Seeb beach is one of the most picturesque beaches in Oman. Located on the outskirts of Muscat, this small town has managed to keep its charm over time. The water was clean and the sand fine, making it a great place for swimming and sunbathing. The best thing about this beach is that you can spend your entire day there without feeling bored at all!
You will find yourself surrounded by palm trees with clear blue skies as far as your eyes can see. There are no loud noises here; just nature at its finest! If you want a break from sunbathing or swimming, then try taking photos of Seeb’s famous lighthouse which stands tall right next to the shoreline or even climb up its stairs if you dare (great way to get closer to God!).
After spending an afternoon exploring Seeb’s vast beaches, we headed over towards another popular attraction nearby called “the harbor” where boats depart daily for tours around different parts of Oman such as Nizwa Fort built back in 1727 AD during Sultan Bin Saif Al Yaqubi reign which lasted until 1750 AD (Sultanate Era), Wadi Shab & Wadi Bani Khalid located in Al Sharqiyah Region near Ras al Hamra village.
Where there are some nice restaurants located along side with traditional tents set up right on top overlooking these waterfalls/valleys which makes it worth visiting even though they might not seem like much due their distance away from Muscat City Center but once inside these plains full of greenery feels like being transported back into past times while still enjoying modern amenities available today thanks goes out.
FAQ
When is the best time to visit Seeb beach?
You can visit Seeb beach any time of year. The weather will be warmest between April and September, but it’s still pleasant in October, November and December. In the winter months (January to March) there may be times when it gets cool on land and at night, but barring any surprises you’ll still have great days at the beach with plenty of sunshine from dawn till dusk.
How do I get to Seeb beach from Muscat?
Sabeel Sharaf Express Bus no: 6 leaves Muscat at 5am. It arrives in Seeb about 2 hours later and then returns for Muscat at 7pm. A taxi will cost around RO5 per person each way round trip if you pay in Omani Riyals (OMR). A car rental will cost RO30 per day or RO150 per week with an additional 30% surcharge if you don’t have an international driver’s license. If you take a taxi or rent a car from Muscat International Airport ask your driver what their price would be before booking online; this way you can compare prices beforehand so that your travel plans are not derailed by overpriced transportation costs once arrived on site!
Pro & Cons of Seeb beach
Pros:
- Seeb beach is a beautiful, sandy beach with crystal clear water and a great view of the ocean.
- There are no big waves or strong currents in this area.
- There is a decent amount of parking available at the entrance of Seeb beach to park your car.
Cons:
- The facilities are not that good compared to other beaches in Oman (like Ras Al Hadd). You can’t find any restaurants or shops around here and there is only one toilet block which could be crowded during peak season.
“Seeb beach is a relaxing, family-friendly beach that is close to Muscat. The water is clean and the sand fine, so it’s perfect for a splash around or a swim. Watch as people jump from high walls into the water from above; it’s like being at an aqua park!”

A beautiful beach in a town close to Muscat.
Seeb beach is located 23km from Muscat, the capital city of Oman. It’s also dubbed as “the city of love” and is popular for its shopping and nightlife.
Get there by taxi or rent a car if you’re feeling adventurous! The cost of transport to Seeb beach averages between $10-$15 USD one way (depending on which route you take). It takes around 30 minutes from the airport by taxi or an hour from Muttrah via bus or car. Much much longer is to get to Shaat hidden beach.
If you’re visiting during summer months (May-October), I’d recommend checking out Seeb beach on Friday nights because they have live music at their local cafes & restaurants along with a beautiful sunset view over the ocean! More info you can get on Google review.
We went there for a swim, and saw a woman jumping into the water from a high wall.
She was wearing a swimsuit, which was very attractive and showed off her body in all its glory. She jumped into the water from that height with great ease and grace.
This beach had some loungers and parasols
This beach had some loungers and parasols, as well as showers for use by visitors. There were also free changing rooms available on site.
If you’re planning to visit this beach, you’ll need to bring a towel with you, but no other equipment is necessary.
The beach is located about a 15-minute walk from the main part of the town. It’s a very popular destination for tourists, so it can get quite busy during high season. However, there are plenty of facilities available, including showers for use by visitors. Same like on Yitti beach.
Sometimes the sea is green
You may have noticed that the sea is green in Seeb, Oman. While algae is not as common in the Persian Gulf as it would be in a tropical ocean, it can still appear because of the right conditions. The most common type of algae found here is chlorophyll-bearing diatoms, which are small single-celled plants that use photosynthesis to create their own food through photosynthesis and produce oxygen as a byproduct.
Because the temperature of our oceans has been rising over time due to climate change, we see more plankton blooms like this one—a phenomenon known as “red tide.” These types of blooms are natural occurrences when there are large numbers of microorganisms (like diatoms) present. They’ll often cause an increase in water transparency due to high levels of phytoplankton production; however, they can also lead to harmful algal blooms if left untreated.
Running along the beach
Running along the beach here is ideal. There’s not a lot of people, so you can find your own space on the sand and enjoy the view of the ocean. It’s also quite clean and safe, which makes it easy to keep track of your belongings as well as your children (if you’re running with them).
Seeb beach is clean, safe, comfortable and fun
Seeb beach is a great place to hang out in Oman located in Middle east region. It’s clean, safe and comfortable. Plus there are loads of fun activities on offer like water sports, snorkeling and diving!
The water is clean and clear with no strong smell of seaweed or fish waste. The sand is soft and not too fine which makes it fun to walk barefoot along the shoreline or play beach volleyball on it.
The facilities are excellent as well: there’s plenty of shade from trees growing on the hillsides around the bay; changing rooms with showers (for 5 RO); toilets; cafés selling food & drinks; lifeguards patrolling at all times during peak seasons (October – April).
Conclusion
Seeb beach is the perfect place for family fun and relaxation. It’s beautiful, well-maintained and has everything you need for a good time. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, as well as water sports including jet skiing and parasailing. There are also two swimming pools which are great during summer months when temperatures can reach up to 50°c! The beach itself is long enough so that there’s always somewhere new to explore – so if you do get bored quickly it won’t take long before something else catches your eye again 🙂
As mentioned earlier, Seeb beach does not have much of an atmosphere at night – there aren’t many bars or clubs nearby but this doesn’t matter too much because there’s plenty going on around town so why bother coming here just for drinks? We recommend spending time exploring Muscat before heading back over here though: there’s lots more things to see!
