The Amanzimtoti Beach was not at all what I expected, and that’s okay.

Amanzimtoti Beach is not a swimming beach. The water is too shallow and the waves are too strong. While there are lifeguards on duty from October to April, they will not allow you to swim in the ocean during this time period because of the currents and tides.

Amanzimtoti Beach is a surfing beach. During the winter months, when it’s cold enough for people to wear jackets but warm enough for them to enjoy themselves outdoors, surfers come out in droves at Amanzimtoti Beach to ride waves while standing on long boards or short boards (long boards being longer than short ones).

There are also those who prefer bodysurfing (body surfing) over standing on an object while riding waves; they just jump right into the fray with no protection other than their bathing suit! But ist same on all beaches like Umhlanga Beach etc.

It’s no secret that monkeys are adorable. They’re also great pets, companions, friends and family members. If you’ve ever considered getting a monkey of your own, we highly recommend doing so!

Monkeys make excellent pets. They’re full of personality, love to play and are very affectionate. You can teach them tricks, they’ll follow your every command and they’ll never leave your side.

Monkeys are also extremely intelligent. They can learn to communicate with you, they understand human emotions and they’re very social animals. Monkeys make great companions! You’ll have a friend that will always be there for you.

The waves were huge and pretty much completely ignored my feeble attempts at swimming and surfing. The surf was good, but I’m not a surfer. I could have just sat on the sand and watched the water crash into the beach, but that would have been boring as hell.

I walked down the beach, looking for something interesting to do. I saw a group of kids playing with a ball, but they were all much younger than me and didn’t seem like they’d be interested in hanging out with an older guy like me.

I stayed on the beach for most of the day, reading and watching people surf and swim.

The beach is a great place to spend time. There are many things you can do while on the beach in Amanzimtoti. You can:

  • people watch
  • read
  • surf (if you know how)
  • swim (if you know how)
  • sunbathing, picnicking and playing in the sand are also enjoyable activities on this beach

After a few hours of being in the ocean, with no reprieve from the sand, I decided to head up to the road. I had checked my phone and there was no reception so I walked along the road until I found a spot with reception. When I got back to my car, my friends were ready for lunch so we drove into town and found an Indian restaurant called The Spice Kitchen.

The food was amazing! We ordered several dishes and they were all delicious: chicken tikka masala (one of my faves), paneer makhani (another favorite), prawns masala and vegetable samosas (which were also very tasty). Our waiter told us that they use only fresh ingredients that are locally sourced. The service was great too—the waiter was very friendly and attentive without being too pushy or annoying like some waiters can be when they want you to spend big bucks on tips! Overall it was probably one of best meals we’ve had while traveling abroad thus far…and this coming from someone who usually sticks with McDonalds when on vacation 🙂

Fishing from rock

There are many rocks in the water where you can fish, but it is difficult to see the fish because of all the seaweed on them. The rocks are slippery so be careful!

A great place to fish is in the ocean. When you are fishing in the ocean, there are many things you can catch. One of these things is a shark! Sharks are dangerous, so be careful when you go swimming near them! I saw sharks on Ansteys Beach.

Sharks are the largest fish in the ocean. They can be as long as 20 feet and weigh up to 2,000 pounds! A great place to fish is in a lake. When you are fishing in a lake, there are many things you can catch. One of these things is a rainbow trout!

The Aqua park is a waterpark that’s situated at the back of the beach. It has a wave pool, a lazy river and slides (including one where you can do loops in the air). There are lifeguards on duty and lockers to store your belongings.

The park also has some food outlets, including an ice cream parlour, a pizza place and a café. There’s also a gift shop where you can buy souvenirs.

The park is open from 10am-6pm and costs $27 for an adult and $16 for a child (aged 3-12 years old). There are also family passes available. You can purchase tickets at the beach or over the phone.

There is a nice grass strip with lots of trees for shade between the beach and a big parking lot.

When looking at the map, it looks like there is a nice grass strip with lots of trees for shade between the beach and a big parking lot. The sand on this beach is not as white as some others in South Africa but it’s still very pretty.

The water is clear and shallow and there are lots of fish swimming around in it. There are also lots of people fishing here, which is great because they are keeping the water clean and making sure that no one catches anything that shouldn’t be eaten.

Amanzimtoti Beach is a great place to spend an afternoon

There are many things to do here, but the most relaxing is a quiet time reading under a tree or watching surfers do their thing. The beach has been used as a filming location for movies like The Gods Must Be Crazy and Lethal Weapon 2. Its one of the best spot in Africa.

As you walk along the sand, you’ll see small tunnels in the rocks that lead out to sea. These are called “blowholes” because when waves crash against them, air gets pushed up through them making it sound like water is exploding from inside the earth. This happens every few minutes on average; however, we had an especially active day so it was happening almost continuously! More info you can get on Google review.

Conclusion

I really enjoyed my time at Amanzimtoti Beach and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to relax. If you’re looking for something more active then there are plenty of other things in the area including surfing lessons, kayaking tours and even horseback riding.
