What is the best time to visit?

Bathway Beach is open all year, but it’s busiest in July and August, when Grenada’s tourism season kicks off. If you want to avoid crowds and have more flexibility with your itinerary, consider visiting between September and May.

How do I get there from ?

  • From Vigie International Airport: The airport is located about 10 minutes from downtown St George by car or taxi;
  • From Princess Margaret Hospital: Take bus number 11 from here;
  • From Fort Young Hotel: Take the “City Bus” service (route 1);

Bathway Beach is one of Grenada’s more popular spots for windsurfing due to its strong winds. Windsurfing equipment is available for rent and can be a fun way to get some exercise while you enjoy the beach.

The beach itself is a beautiful white sand that slopes gently into the water, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. The beach is lined with palm trees and other tropical plants which provide shade from the hot sun. It’s also a popular spot for shelling and swimming.

Parking is free at Bathway Beach, and there are several parking spaces available. You can park on the road or in a parking lot if you prefer. There are no time restrictions for parking here, so you can leave your car wherever it’s comfortable for you! Less parking spaces are on Magazine beach.

You can also take the train or bus to Bathway Beach. There is a stop across from the beach, which makes it very easy to get there. If you don’t want to drive, this is a great option!

There are no hotels directly on the strip of sand, but there are some just up the road from the beach. For example, Hotel Bathway Beach is a great choice if you want a little more space in your room and access to restaurants and bars within walking distance. Like on Morne Rouge Beach there are not any restaurant.

If you’re looking for a more luxurious experience, Hotel Las Ventanas al Paraiso offers stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and an exclusive beach club.

The Water Club Sports Bar is located right on the beach, so you can enjoy a drink or two while watching the waves roll in. It has darts, pool tables and plenty of seating inside or out. The food menu includes appetizers like nachos and wings as well as burgers, sandwiches and salads (all with prices ranging from $6-$17).

The Blue Bar also serves cocktails ($5-$13), beer ($3-$9) wine ($5-$10) along with non-alcoholic drinks such as sodas ($2) iced tea ($3) lemonade ($4).

The sand is coarse and dark, and there is some coral in areas of the beach, which can be painful on bare feet.

The water is clear and shallow for quite some distance out from shore; it’s possible to wade out into deeper waters if you’re careful not to step on any coral.

Bathway Cottages

Bathway Cottages is located in a quiet area of Bathway Beach, which is great for families. There’s also a restaurant onsite that serves local dishes and has an excellent view of the ocean.

The rooms are clean and spacious; each comes with air conditioning, cable TV, WiFi and private bathrooms with hot showers (but no tubs). Some have balconies overlooking the pool or garden area below.

The property is a good choice for couples, families and groups. It’s within walking distance of the beach and town center, so it’s easy to get around. There are also bicycles available for rent onsite that can be used to explore nearby attractions such as the Bedford point or Turtle Beach.

The water at Bathway is calm enough for swimming and snorkeling, but it’s also rough enough that it’s not suitable for beginner surfers. There are no lifeguards on duty at Bathway Beach, so you’ll want to be careful when jumping in the water!

If you are looking for a nice beach on Grenada, then Bathway is the place to go. It’s got some great amenities and it’s easily accessible from anywhere in the island. However, if you want something more secluded and quiet then I would suggest checking out one of the other beaches listed below.
