Free parking. There are no fees to park at the beach, which is a huge pro for me. Parking on the street around here can be a nightmare, so this was definitely a plus!
Access to the beach is easy. You literally just walk down some steps and you’re there! No need to worry about finding parking or getting lost–just walk down some stairs and boom! You’re already there!
Good location for family vacationers looking for something close by but still away from it all (in my opinion). The town of Nags Head has plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, so if you want some shopping or dining out during your stay, it won’t be too hard to find places nearby.

Croatan beach is a beautiful place to visit, with its golden-colored sands and pristine waters that make it an ideal spot for swimming and fishing alike. If you want to spend some time in nature, this is the place for you!

The house is conveniently located within walking distance of the beach, grocery store, restaurants and attractions.

Free parking

Free parking is available at Croatan Beach, Virginia. There are two parking areas: one near the house and one off of the beach.

The first is located in front of our home on Croatan Road (which is also called Route 13). It’s a gravel lot with room for about 10 cars, so it fills up quickly! If this lot is full when you arrive, please use our second lot (described below).
Our second parking area is located next door at “The Oceanfront Inn,” which has several spots reserved specifically for our guests’ use–just look for signs near their entrance that say “Croatan Beach Retreat.” We ask that if those spaces are taken by other guests or employees during your stay at Croatan Beach Retreat, please park elsewhere on Oceanfront Road (Route 13) so as not to block traffic flow through this busy thoroughfare.

The beach is clean and safe, and you can enjoy yourself there as much as you want. The house itself is amazing too! It has everything you need for your stay, including WiFi and cable TV. If you’re looking for an affordable place in Croatan Beach that’s close enough to walk to restaurants or shops but far enough away from traffic noise then this house will be perfect for your needs! Its same on Ocean view beach or Croatan beach.

We had a great time and the house was amazing.

The location was perfect for us – close enough to Atlantic City, but far enough away from all of the hustle and bustle. It was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed to cook meals in the kitchen (which also has granite countertops). There were plenty of towels available for guests, as well as beach gear like chairs, umbrellas, etc. We loved being able to spend time on Croatan Beach which is beautiful!
