The campsite is beautiful and well-maintained
The campsite is beautiful and well-maintained. There are plenty of grassy areas for your tent or camper, plus there’s a beach for swimming and fishing. The bathrooms are clean and have hot water, which isn’t always the case with state park bathrooms! The campsite also has several activities for families: basketball courts, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits…the list goes on! There’s even an arcade where you can play games like air hockey or pinball if you want something more active than just sitting around talking to friends while eating snacks together at night after dinner (which is what my family did).
The bathrooms are clean and have showers and toilets.
There are separate bathrooms for men and women, which is nice because it’s not something you always see at state parks. The showers and toilets were also very clean, and everything seemed to work well when I used them during my stay there. There was even a sign that said “please wash your hands” above each sink! That’s great because it shows that the park staff cares about keeping things sanitary (and preventing the spread of disease).
There were also signs posted throughout Rutherford Beach State Park letting visitors know about policies like no smoking or vaping on site; these signs make visitors feel safe in knowing what’s expected of them while visiting the park
