Fish restaurant at Hopkins beach

The Fish restaurant at Hopkins Beach is a small, family-owned spot that serves up some of the best seafood in town. The food is fresh and delicious, and you can get it either grilled or fried. Prices are reasonable–about $10 USD per plate–and there’s not much wait time before your order comes out (unless they’re really busy). If you want to eat here on Friday night, though, be prepared for a bit of a wait: The place gets packed with locals who want to get their hands on some good food!

The staff at this restaurant is small but efficient; they’ll take care of whatever needs doing without delay while still being kind enough not let anyone go hungry during their visit. It’s also worth noting that there aren’t many tables available so make sure yours has been cleared off before going inside (or else someone might steal it). All things considered though? This place offers excellent value for money along with great service; we highly recommend trying them out next time you visit Belize City! Or visit Half Moon Caye or Secret Beach Belize.

Friendly people

The people of Hopkins are very friendly. This is particularly true in comparison to other places I have visited, where it can be difficult to get information and even food without speaking the local language. In Hopkins, however, everyone seems eager to help out tourists who speak English or Spanish (the official languages). There were many times when I could not understand what someone was saying but they would still try their best to help me out anyway!

The locals also seem happy with each other; they wave at each other on the street, smile at each other from across restaurants and shops, and greet each other warmly when passing by on bicycles or motorcycles–even if those two vehicles aren’t exactly known for being safe forms of transportation! Many times during my stay there were groups walking down main streets together laughing loudly as they went about their daily lives; it was truly an enjoyable sight seeing so many people so cheerful amidst such an impoverished environment (more on that later).

Lots of great food

The food at Hopkins is fresh and delicious, with a focus on Caribbean cuisine. The prices are very affordable, especially considering how authentic it is. There are several restaurants in town where you can get delicious meals for under $10 USD per person, including drinks!

Beautiful beaches

You can find beautiful beaches, sandy beaches and great for swimming and snorkeling. There are many beaches for fishing as well!

Eco-tourism opportunities

Ecotourism is a growing industry in Belize, and Hopkins Beach is one of the best places to see it in action. The barrier reef here is protected by an extensive marine park that makes it safe for scuba diving and snorkeling. There are also opportunities for birdwatching and nature walks along the beach’s many trails.

Great snorkeling and fishing

If you’re looking for a place to snorkel or fish, Hopkins is the place. You can catch fish like red snapper, grouper and barracuda right off of the beach. If you want something more challenging, try lobster or conch diving. There are also many great places around town where you can go crabbing–a favorite pastime among locals who live in Hopkins!

If fishing isn’t your thing (or if it just wasn’t what you were expecting), there are plenty of other activities at this beautiful location: hiking through nature trails on foot or horseback; visiting Mayan ruins nearby; exploring caves by boat ride along Belize’s coastline; swimming with dolphins (yes – these actually exist!), etc…

Lots of great hiking trails

Hopkins is a great place to hike. There are over 20 trails in the area, ranging from easy walks through the jungle to challenging climbs up waterfalls and ancient Mayan ruins. You can choose your trail based on your fitness level and how much time you have, or just pick one at random! You’ll be able to see some amazing views of Belize along the way; we recommend taking a camera with you so that you can capture all of these incredible sights on film (or memory card).

The trails are clearly marked with signs showing which direction they lead in and arrows pointing where they go as well–this makes it easy for beginners who may not know their way around yet. They’re also well maintained by park rangers who patrol them regularly; if there’s ever an issue with safety or maintenance then someone from staff will fix it immediately so hikers never have any problems finding their way around safely during their trip here

Hopkins beach is a beautiful place to visit

The sand is white, the water is clear and there are lots of great food options.

The restaurant next door serves some mouthwatering seafood dishes like crab cakes and fish tacos, which I highly recommend! If you’re looking for something on the lighter side, try their lobster salad with mango salsa or grilled mahi mahi served with spinach risotto and roasted garlic cream sauce (all gluten-free). You can get more info on Google review.

Conclusion

I hope this has helped you decide whether Hopkins beach is the right place for your next vacation. If it is, I would highly recommend booking a room at one of the hotels near the village, as they offer great amenities and are close enough that you can walk to most places in town easily.
