Secret beach Belize is a small beach on the southern tip of the island of Ambergris Caye
It’s not exactly a secret, but it can be hard to find if you don’t know where to look and how to get there. The easiest way to access Secret Beach is by boat, since there are no roads leading directly there (and even if they did exist, they’d probably be flooded).
There are two ways you can arrive at Secret Beach: either by private water taxi or tour company boat trip. If you’re staying somewhere nearby like Bliss Resort or El Dorado Maroma Resort & Spa , then your best bet would be booking through them directly; otherwise check out this list for some other options (we’ve used this company ourselves before). The cost should run anywhere from $50-$150 USD depending on what time of day/weekend/or make sure ask beforehand!
Once at Secret Beach itself though…it’s quite beautiful! There aren’t too many people around either which makes it feel incredibly peaceful despite being right next door on Ambergris Caye itself–but also means less shade options during midday hours so make sure bring sunscreen along with plenty water bottles too 🙂
For sure visit Half Moon Caye or Hopkins beach.

Secret beach Belize is one of the most popular beaches in Belize
It’s located on Ambergris Caye, which is home to many resorts and some great snorkeling spots. The water here is clear, there are lots of fish in it, and it’s a good place for swimming or just relaxing on the sand.
If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax without crowds around (or even if you want some company), this beach will do nicely!
Secret beach waterpark
The waterpark is not included in the price. There are several options for renting equipment, including kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling gear. You can also rent a hammock or beach chair if you want to relax on your own at the beach or poolside. Lastly, towels are available for purchase for $10 USD each (you can also bring your own).
The water was beautiful and clear
There were no seaweed or jellyfish, and the sand was nice. The snorkeling was good; there were lots of fish in the area and you could see them clearly through your mask. The swimming was also very good; it felt like being in a pool with waves crashing against you!
There are lots of fish there including large ones that you can feed by hand.
The water is clear, and you can see the bottom of the ocean floor. There are lots of fish swimming around below you, and some are pretty big. If you’re careful not to scare them off or hurt them with your fins or snorkel gear, they’ll stay right there so that you can reach out and touch them! This is super fun because it feels like being an explorer in an uncharted land–except without all those pesky dangers like starvation or disease plaguing your every step (and no creepy-crawlies either).
- There’s an abundance of wildlife. You’re bound to see iguanas, dolphins and sea turtles (which are considered a delicacy).
- There are lots of fish too!
Secret beach bar
- Food: The food at Secret Beach Bar is pretty good and there are plenty of options to choose from. They have burgers, chicken wings and fries, tacos (both grilled or fried), nachos and quesadillas. You can also get some salads if you’re looking for something lighter.
- Drinks: There are plenty of drinks available at Secret Beach Bar including beer on tap and cocktails made with rum or tequila in addition to more traditional choices like margaritas or daiquiris. They also have non-alcoholic beverages like watermelon juice which was delicious!
- Atmosphere: This place has a great vibe because it’s right on the beach so you feel like part of nature while enjoying your meal/drink(s). You’ll want to sit outside so make sure you bring bug spray just in case–you don’t want any mosquito bites ruining your day! The sand flies weren’t too bad but I did notice that everyone had some sort of bug repellent product on them (hand lotion works well too).
This is not a luxury resort but more of a fun place with great snorkeling
The Secret Beach Resort is not a luxury resort, but more of a fun place with great snorkeling and good for families. The beach is small, but there are lots of fish to see in the water. Dolphins and sea turtles were seen frequently during our stay at Secret Beach Belize!
The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable with air conditioning or ceiling fans depending on what you prefer. There are lockers in each room as well as an outdoor shower to rinse off after coming back from snorkeling or swimming at night time when it gets cooler outside after darkfall (which happens quickly here). They will provide you with towels if needed too!
If you want to go somewhere tropical and beautiful, this is it
The Secret Beach is located in the Corozal District of Belize on the Caribbean Sea coast. It’s about a half hour drive from our hotel in San Pedro Town.
The beach itself is beautiful with white sand and clear water that goes out about 100 yards before becoming very deep (so don’t worry about swimming out too far). There are plenty of fish and wildlife all around including sea turtles, rays and even sharks if you’re lucky! There are also some nice trees providing shade so it’s not too hot while you’re swimming or sunbathing on shore.
There’s even a bar right there at Secret Beach where they sell drinks such as beer ($3), soda ($1) or water ($0). You can rent chairs/umbrellas for $2 each or purchase them outright for $12 each which comes with two towels (one large beach towel which folds up into its own bag). You can get more info on Google review.
Conclusion
If you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy some snorkeling, then this is the place for you. The water is beautiful and clear and there are lots of fish there including large ones that you can feed by hand. There was an abundance of wildlife including iguanas, dolphins and sea turtles.
