The beach was sandy, but with small stones which can be painful to walk on barefoot. The water was warm and clear, although the currents were strong in some places. The beach itself was very large compared to other beaches we visited on our trip (including El Medano), so there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out their towels and find a spot away from other people if they wanted privacy.
