Scorpion beach

Scorpion Beach

I visited Scorpion beach, located just outside of Rome in Ladispoli, Italy. It’s a great place to spend the day and get some sun. The water is shallow and clear, so there is plenty of room for swimming and playing with beach toys. There are some fields in back that are good for playing frisbee and other outdoor games too. Dining table on the beach with umbrellas for shade if desired

Scorpion beach is located a few minutes outside Rome on the Tyrrhenian coast

It’s a wide, sandy beach with lots of space for sunbathing and plenty of room for umbrellas, chairs, beach toys and more. The water is shallow in some places but deep enough to swim in other areas. There are many opportunities to rent jet skis or sailboats if you want something different than swimming or playing in the sand!

FAQ

What is the best time to visit the beach?

Scorpion Beach is open year round, though you may want to avoid visiting during winter months if possible. The water tends to be cold, and even though it’s heated by natural hot springs beneath the surface (which is why this particular area of Italy is called “Ladispoli”), it can still be a bit chilly.

How do I get there from Rome?

The easiest way t get here is by car or taxi from Rome or other nearby cities like Civitavecchia or Anzio. If you don’t have access to either of these options then there are buses that run from Rome every hour on weekdays but only every two hours on weekends–the bus ride takes about 1 hour 15 minutes each way depending on traffic conditions so plan accordingly!. . .

Pros & Cons of Scorpion beach

Pros:

  • The beach is relatively quiet, so you won’t have to deal with crowds of tourists.
  • There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, but they’re not right on the beach. This means you can have your lunch without being disturbed by people walking by or talking loudly around you.

Cons:

  • There aren’t any showers on-site; if you want to wash off after swimming in the sea, there are several nearby hotels where one can be found (or just use their shower facilities).

Beach foods are available, but overpriced.

The beach is a good place to relax and enjoy yourself, but don’t expect to find anything other than pizza, sandwiches and fruit. Snacks are overpriced, so if you have a picnic basket with food from home it’s best to bring some drinks as well. There are lots of restaurants nearby in Ladispoli itself or even Rome if you want something fancier (and cheaper). Lower prices are on Pelota beach.
