The waves are also not too strong; they won’t knock anyone over or hurt them if they fall into them accidentally while playing around in their swimsuits (which we recommend doing!). Atuh beach is located in the village of Atuh, which is about 10 kilometers from the port of Serangan.

You can get there by car or motorbike. It’s also possible to walk from hill (about 2 hours), but it’s not recommended because of the heat and lack of shade along the way. If you want an easier option, consider taking a taxi or motorbike taxi from Serangan port which will cost around Rp 100 000 ($7).

The walk from hill to Atuh beach is not very difficult, but you will need some time. The hill is not that high and there are many places where you can sit down and rest if you are tired or want to take a break.

However, the walk itself is quite long and tiring because it takes about 40 minutes from one side of the hill (where there are some shops) until reaching Atuh Beach on top of it.

At the bottom of the hill, there are some shops, restaurants and a mini market where you can buy water and snacks. The walk itself is quite nice because there are many plants and flowers along the way.

The best way to get there is by taking a boat from Serangan port, which costs Rp 50,000 per person. You can also take a bus there for Rp 25,000 or rent a motorbike at Serangan port for Rp 250,000 and drive yourself. The road is quite rough though so be careful!

If you want to avoid the hassle of driving yourself or taking public transportation then hiring a taxi would be your best option because they’re very cheap (Rp 500-1,000/person).
