FAQ

How to get there?

The easiest way is by car or motorbike. You can also take a bus from Sanur or Candidasa, but it will take longer and you’ll need to change buses at least once.

What you should bring with you?

Sunscreen and insect repellent are essential! Water is also important because there’s no source of fresh water in the area (you can buy bottled water). If you’re planning on doing any swimming in the ocean, bring a snorkel mask and fins if possible as they’ll make exploring more fun!

What to wear?

Kelingking Beach has no facilities so try not to bring anything valuable with – unless it’s something like an expensive camera lens or laptop which could be kept at home instead of being taken into the sea with us 🙂 Also remember that during our trip we went through three seasons during one day; from hot sun during midday then cool breeze in late afternoon followed by rain showers later on so pack accordingly!

Pros & Cons of Kelingking Beach

Pros:

  • The view from the top of Kelingking Beach is one of the best in Nusa Penida. You can see across to the island of Nusa Lembongan and even Lombok, if you’re lucky.
  • This is a great place to swim–there are no waves and it’s safe enough for children to play in as well as adults who want a bit more action than they would get at some other beaches around Bali.
  • There are monkeys here too! They’ll come right up to you while you’re playing or swimming in the ocean (and sometimes even if you aren’t doing either), but it’s easy enough to shoo them away with some food or just by moving away from where they are standing on their hind legs looking at what’s going on around them!

  • Make sure to take a guide. It’s important to be safe and not get lost on your way back, so make sure you have a local guide who knows the area well.
  • Use a local boat and driver if possible. This will help ensure that you get back safely and quickly in case of emergency situations, like bad weather or sea sickness (which can happen).
  • Check that you know how long it will take for them to drive from point A (your hotel) all the way through point B (the beach), because if something goes wrong along the way then knowing exactly where you are will help them find their way back faster than having no idea where anything is located!

Monkeys are everywhere

Monkeys are everywhere. They will steal food from tourists, and if you try to chase them away they just come back. They’re not aggressive, but they can be annoying.

The pigeons are also dangerous. They carry diseases like salmonella and chlamydia, so it’s not a good idea to touch them or let them land on you.

If you see a pigeon on the ground, don’t touch it. If a pigeon lands on your hand or head, gently push it away with an open hand.

The easiest way is by boat from Nusa Lembongan, but if the weather is bad then this option won’t work (as boats don’t run in storms). So my advice would be: don’t go on the weekend or in rainy season! More info you can get on Google review.
