Pros & Cons of Crystal Bay Nusa Penida

Pros:

  • Great beach, good snorkelling. The Crystal Bay beach is probably one of the best beaches in Nusa Penida and it’s not hard to see why. It has a nice white sand and clear waters, which makes it perfect for swimming and snorkelling. You can visit this beach anytime during the day but we recommend going there early in the morning as there may be fewer people around then!
  • Not much else to do nearby other than relax on your own private little cove or swim around with some friends! Cons:
  • Food isn’t great (but you can always bring your own). For example, if you want lunch or dinner at Crystal Bay Beach Resort then expect average food quality served at high prices (around IDR 100k per dish). If you want something more interesting try exploring other restaurants nearby instead such as Kuta Beach Club or Warung Bamboo where prices range from IDR 25k – 50k per dish depending on what type of cuisine they serve (Indonesian/Western).

“Nusa Penida is an island in Bali, located off the southeast coast of the island. It’s a few kilometers from the city of Sanur and just a 15 minute speedboat ride from Nusa Lembongan — a nearby island that has even less development than Nusa Penida.”

How to get to Crystal Bay Nusa Penida

Getting to Crystal Bay Nusa Penida is relatively easy. There are many ways to get there, from the most budget-friendly option of taking public transportation, to renting a car or even chartering a boat.

First, you’ll need to get from Sanur (the main town on Bali) to Nusa Penida Island. You can take a taxi or book one online through services like Gojek or GrabTaxi if you don’t have time for public transportation; however, if you choose this option be sure not only that they are licensed but also familiar with where they’re going so they don’t take you somewhere else by mistake!

Once at your destination point in Crystal Bay Beach Resort & Spa – which is right next door but not part of it – walk along Jalan Raya Sanggingan until reaching its end point where there will be signs pointing towards either “Nusa Lembongan” (which leads directly into another small village) or “Sanur”/”Kuta”. From here follow either path depending on where exactly it leads us too next:

You can get there from Sanur by boat, but it’s much easier to take a taxi or car and drive over

The cost of the ferry is approximately $7 per person and takes about 30 minutes. It runs every hour on the hour starting at 6 AM until 5 PM. If you’re planning on going during peak hours (11 AM-2 PM), I would recommend booking ahead because they sell out fast!

It costs around $35-$40 USD per car or motorbike/scooter rental with driver included in your trip price; this includes insurance as well as fuel costs if needed during your stay in Nusa Penida (which should be around 3 days).

Crystal Bay beach is beautiful and has some decent snorkelling spots

Crystal Bay beach is a great place to go for a day of sunbathing or snorkelling. The beach itself is beautiful, with white sand and clear waters. There are some decent snorkelling spots if you’re interested in that, but you should be aware that there isn’t much coral left here due to bleaching and overfishing by nearby fishermen.

If you want to relax on the beach with some friends and enjoy good food, this would be an excellent choice! Very similar is Atuh beach.

Food

The food was pretty good and the prices were average for Indonesia. The ingredients were fresh and of good quality, but I didn’t find anything particularly amazing about the food here. Same food is serve on Kelingking Beach.

If you’re looking for something more authentic than what you’d get at a hotel or restaurant on Bali with best beaches. (like me), this is a great place to visit!

There is a restaurant right on the beach with an amazing view of the sunset over Nusa Penida.

This restaurant is called Warung Malam, and it has an amazing view of Nusa Penida’s sunset from its beachfront location. The food is good and prices are average for Indonesia (about $5-6 USD).

If you’re looking for something to do in Crystal Bay, this place would be a great option!

Fry fish with rice is local specialty – Warung food

The warung food at Crystal Bay beach is a local specialty. It’s the kind of thing you’d expect to find in Bali and other parts of Indonesia, but not quite so much on mainland Asia.

The fried fish with rice is probably my favorite: it comes with prawns and fried chicken too. There’s also a vegetarian option for those who don’t eat meat! For those who want something lighter (or just need more room for beer), there are options like fried eggs or vegetables that can be eaten on their own or as part of a larger meal. If you’re not sure what to order off the menu, ask one of the waitresses who will help guide your decision based on what she thinks looks good today – though always remember that these recommendations are subjective!

Dogs on the Crystal Bay beach
dogs at Crystal Bay Nusa Penida

The dogs on the beach are friendly and well behaved. They don’t get in your way or bother you, but they’re there if you want to play with them. The restaurant doesn’t allow dogs inside, so if you have a pooch who likes to eat at restaurants with you then this might be an issue for you–the staff will give him/her food outside instead!

Also worth mentioning: dogs aren’t allowed at any snorkelling spots. The water is too shallow for them and there are no beaches nearby where they can go swimming either (except maybe at low tide).

Crystal Bay Nusa Penida is perfect for one day trip

Crystal Bay is a great place to go for a day of sunbathing or snorkelling. It’s on the south coast of Nusa Penida and has some nice clear waters that are perfect for swimming, snorkelling or diving.

If you’re looking for something more active, Crystal Bay also offers some great opportunities for scuba diving. You can dive in shallow waters where there are lots of colourful fish and coral reefs. If you’re feeling more adventurous, there are also deeper parts of the bay where there are bigger fish like barracudas! You can get more info on Google review.
